You'll
find a profusion of large, daisy like flowers that bloom from late summer
to mid autumn. The petals surround a large attractive cone. The foliage is of lance- shaped, dark green leaves and it requires moist, humus-rich, well-drained soil and will tolerate wind and drought. The purple form is the most common, but it also grow in white. This plant is grown as an herbal medicine. Plant in full sun, part shade, grows 2-3 feet does well in Zones 3-9. Echinacea Purerea Deer and rabbits tend to leave this one alone |
